Support live music AND a great cause this July at the Summer Benefit Bash in NW Philly!!!

Julian Hartwell Music and the Unification Family Church team up to support local non-profit Men Who Care of Germantown for a special evening of live music, raffles, tasy bites, and more!

A vital and well-respected force in Northwest Philly, Men Who Care of Germantown is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to enhance the quality of life in the community through restoring and empowering youth & seniors to become responsible citizens and stewards of Germantown. Their many endeavors include Community Outreach, Mentoring, Crime Prevention Programs, restoration projects at area schools like Roosevelt Middle School, and supporting the work of similar like-minded organizations in the community.

The Julian Hartwell Project is a modern jazz quintet/sextet that melds elements of funk, hip-hop, RnB and more into an upbeat and memorable sound. Led by pianist and composer Julian Hartwell, the group features a rotating cast of top jazz talent from the Philly area, blending a full group sound of rich, adventurous horn arrangements with inspired improvisations. With a mix of influences ranging from the likes of boundary-crossers Snarky Puppy to straight-ahead pioneers like Roy Hargrove, the group known shorthand as "The JHP" is offering a fresh and distinctly soulful take on the jazz idiom, appealing to both traditional and novice listener alike.

For this show The JHP is very excited to collaborate with songstress extraordinaire Lee Mo on vocals! Catch this epic combo while you can before she blows up on a level way past the Germantown circuit!

The Summer Benefit Bash will take place at the Flying Horse Center, the spacious home of Unification Family Church Philly.

The bulk of the proceeds raised will go directly to Men Who Care's operating funds and support their ongoing projects directly in the local community.
